A weak French supply in the face of an ultra-diversified market
Today, the French consume more than 40,000 tonnes of almonds per year. This is a great potential for development when we know that French production is close to 1,700 tonnes. “The French almond orchard currently covers 2,300 hectares. When it is mature at the end of the sixth year, it will have a harvest potential of 2,300 tonnes. The French offer is therefore weak, in the face of an ultra-diversified market.”
