Country Spotlight: Indonesia
This April, TFO Canada hosted eight developing countries on a successful trade mission to Canada’s largest food tradeshow: SIAL Canada 2015 in Toronto. The mission brought together a total of 70 companies showcasing nearly 200 different food products from across all corners of the globe:
- Asia & Middle East: Indonesia and Jordan
- Latin America: Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador and Saint Lucia
- Africa: Tunisia and Morocco
In addition to participating in the TFO Canada mission, Indonesia was designated as Country of Honour for SIAL 2015. Walking the “Remarkable Indonesia” pavilion, tradeshow guests got a taste for the country’s vibrant culture, people and food, as well as its strong manufacturing capabilities in food exports.
