Creating sustainable trade is the hallmark of TFO Canada’s mandate and another one of its projects is fulfilling this is the Artisan Hub, an exhibition in textiles, home décor and garments. The Artisan Hub is an innovative new project to promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the specialty textile and garment sector. The initiative will be capitalising on unique skills that are largely untapped beyond their traditional borders.
At the heart of this initiative is the promotion of specialty textiles and fabrics, home décor items and garments of producers/artisans from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Haiti, Lesotho, Madagascar, and Uganda to Canadian buyers. The initiative features exhibition shows and storytelling by local producers.
