CFIA: Updated Guidance On Control Measures For Listeria Monocytogenes In Ready-To-Eat Foods

“Please be advised that the guidance on Control measures for Listeria monocytogenes in ready-to-eat foods has been revised to align with Health Canada’s Policy on Listeria monocytogenes in Ready-to-Eat Foods (2023) that will come into effect on October 1, 2023.

Industry should review and adjust their control measures and preventive control plan when applicable, to align with the revised policy and associated guidance, prior to October 1, 2023. In the interim, verification of control measures will continue via regular inspection activities such as preventive control inspections and sampling.”
