Agricultural exports Peru amounted to US$ 3.518 billion
“In the first five months of 2023, shipments amounted to US$3.518 billion, up 0.2% compared to the same period last year. A spokesperson of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) said that the products that stood out in the ranking of agricultural exports in the period were fresh grapes, totaling $678 million, accounting for 20% of total sales, as well as avocados ($462 million; 14%), fresh mango. (US$206 million; 6.1%) and fresh cranberries (US$171 million; 5.1%).
Other products that stood out in the rankings include fresh or chilled asparagus ($90 million; 2.7%), other fresh fruit ($85). million; 2.5%), frozen mangoes ($84 million; 2.5%), other paprika ($60 million; 1.8%) and other cocoa beans ($57 million; 1.7% ).
The government agency said that together, these 10 products accounted for 59.6% of non-traditional exports.”
