TFO Canada, in cooperation with PROMUEVE BOLIVIA (TFO Canada’s partner in Bolivia for export promotion), is organizing a market familiarization visit of 9 Bolivian producers of jewellery (both silver and gold, fashion and fine), including famous Bolivianita stone, fashion accessories and beautiful woven clothing, mostly made of alpaca, one of the country’s staple items now widely exported around the world. These companies, most of them led by women entrepreneurs, are coming to Montreal and Toronto to meet with potential buyers and to see how the Canadian market works.
This initiative is part of the Trade Capacity Building Project for Artisan Exporters, funded by DFATD, and carried out jointly by TFO Canada, Promueve Bolivia and CESO.
Retail visits and company meetings will take place in Montreal on Tuesday and Wednesday May 6th and 7th and in Toronto on May 8th and 9th.

TFO Canada Buyer Mission to Guyana

TFO Canada in cooperation with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture (IICA) and the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) is organizing a buyer mission to visit Guyana from May 12 to 15, 2014. TFO Canada will be choosing and accompanying a select group of buyers to attend the mission.
IICA and GMSA in cooperation with TFO Canada has pre-selected seven small and medium sized companies (processors and producers) deemed suitable for the Canadian market and importer participants will have the opportunity to meet with these companies to provide them with valuable feedback on Canadian market trends, conditions and product adaptation required for successful market entry.
Description of the products: Hot Sauce, Green Seasoning, Chinese sauce (Seasoning sauce), Sauces and pickles, tropical jams and jellies, cherry juice, fruit punch juice, orange juice, and coconut water.
