“In the first five months of 2023, shipments amounted to US$3.518 billion, up 0.2% compared to the same period last year. A spokesperson of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) said that the products that stood out in the ranking of agricultural exports in the period were fresh grapes, totaling $678 million, accounting for 20% of total sales, as well as avocados ($462 million; 14%), fresh mango. The government agency said that together, these 10 products accounted for 59.6% of non-traditional exports.”
