“NY Now is America’s largest home and gift wholesale trade show, where brands, buyers and designers come together to connect more than 3,000 independent brands with more than 26,000 retailers.
From August 14 to 17, 2022, the companies Alisa, Artexco, Crane, Hasta el Cielo and Topis Cerámica will be present at the aforementioned fair.
Gwendolyne Figueroa, coordinator of the Agexport Handmade Commission, explained that the companies that will be representing the country in the United States participated and completed all the training that began in January with the TFO Canada project, focusing mainly on the plan: “Export to Canada”.
“As a requirement to be selected, the companies were trained in preparing the export plan, sustainability, digital marketing, product adaptation, participation in trade fairs, among others,” Figueroa highlighted.
The project developed workshops and technical assistance to prepare 10 companies in the Handmade Sector with the aim of training them in knowledge and information on consumer demand, the profile of buyers and expectations to attend a trade fair.
At the end, 5 of 10 companies were selected to go in person to the “NY Now” fair.”
