Villa Andina S.A.C.

Villa Andina S.A.C.
Villa Andina is a social enterprise founded in 2007 with the aim of developing and commercializing high quality agro-industrial food products. Our headquarters and production plant are in Cajamarca, a city situated at an altitude of over 2800 meters above sea level in the Northern Andes of Peru.
Throughout the development of our business activities, our aim is to give sustainability to species belonging to our native biodiversity. This is achieved by:
Generating a steady sustainable demand for products derived from the native diversity.
Integrating farming communities to international markets through the development of highly profitable crops.
Supplying national and international buyers with high quality, value added products.
Developing a business management model that can be re-applied in rural areas in the future.
From the very beginning, we were motivated by the idea of being able to establish our operation in rural areas, close to where raw material is grown. This would give us a series of commercial advantages such as:
Closeness to and direct relationship with small farmers.
Lower atmospheric pressure and consequently less energy required to dry foodstuffs.
Dryer air, with lower humidity resulting in greater drying power.
Reduction in logistical costs and less waste resulting from the transport of perishable, fresh produce.
These factors make it possible for us to create a sustainable and competitive business model on an international scale.
