Exports of non-traditional goods up 9.3% in Peru
“Peruvian exports of non-traditional goods posted a significant growth of 9.3% in the first two months of 2023, compared to the same period last year, according to the latest report issued by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism. In total, non-traditional agricultural exports totaled US$1.577 billion at the end of February.
Grapes became the most exported agricultural product in Peru, with sales amounting to US$637 million at the end of February (23.9%). Blueberry exports increased 18.7% compared to the first two months in 2022, reaching US$136 million Avocado sales have turned back to growth totaling US$47 million (34.4%), and shipments of asparagus amounted to US$66 million (19.6%).”
